Special Welcome to New Members and Visitors

Pastor Greg is hosting a series of new member classes and fellowship opportunities this year. New members and visitors with an interest in learning more about Southminster, or who would like to meet and fellowship with others who have recently joined the church, are especially invited. Anyone, new or old, may attend for a refresher course and some fun.

Wednesday, January 27, 7:00-8:30 pm, OUR STORY

Discussion will be about who we are: the story of Southminster and the history of the Presbyterian Church.

Saturday, March 20, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, THE BIBLE

Discussion will be all about the Bible: what it says, how we view its authority, and what it means to members of Southminster.

Wednesday, September 8, 7:00-8:30 pm, THE CREEDS

We will talk about the public statements the church has made concerning what we believe about God. We will look at the Book of Confessions, especially the statements we repeat aloud every Sunday, and talk about the distinctive beliefs of Presbyterians.

Saturday, October 23, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, POLITY

We will talk about how our church operates. We will look briefly at the larger Presbyterian church, but will spend most of our time talking about Southminster and how we are organized to do our work. This is a great opportunity to learn about the various ministries of the church and how to contribute and make your voice heard in the congregation.
