SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL AND CORPORATION MEETING

JULY 17, 2011 11:15 AM CHURCH SANCTUARY

Moderator: Rev. Dr. Gregory L. Glover

The meeting was called to order by the moderator.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Pastor Glover.
Elder Roger Walter was appointed Secretary.
A quorum was declared by the Secretary.

60 active members and 19 nonmembers attended the Special Congregational and Corporation Meeting on Sunday, July 17, 2011.

Pastor Glover informed those present that the purpose of the meeting was to extend a call to Ronald L. Rockey as Associate Pastor at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Pastor Glover called the chair of the APNC, Gary Straber, to introduce the APNC. Members of the APNC are Gary Straber, Chair, Kristin Calvert, Elaine Hulsman, Brian Lock and Pam Sapoff. Gary presented a brief description of the process of selecting a candidate for the position of Associate Pastor for Southminster Presbyterian Church.

Gary Straber, Chair, presented the following motion from the Associate Pastor Nominating Committee: That Ronald L. Rockey be called to serve as Associate Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church according to the Terms of Call as presented to the congregation and that Elders Gary Straber and Roger Walter be elected to prosecute the call at the August 13, 2011 Presbytery Meeting.

Ballots were distributed to active members, collected and counted by Deacons Richard Calvert, Janet Coons, Sharon Davis and Elaine Hulsman.

The result of the election by ballot was unanimous; 58 YES votes and 0 NO votes. The motion was approved.

Elder Ron Smith moved that the meeting is adjourned. The motion was seconded by Roger Walter and approved.

The meeting was closed with prayer by Pastor Glover.

Pastor Glover extended an invitation to Ron Rockey to dismiss those assembled with a charge and benediction.
