Consent Agenda Approved:

• Approved the Minutes of the Regular Session Meeting of September 13, 2011
• Approved the Minutes of the Special Session Meeting of September 18, 2011
• Received the Financial Report for September 2011
• Approved the dates of May 4-6, 2011 for the Session Retreat
• Approved the date of January 29, 2012 for the Annual Congregational Meeting
• Approved the date of Saturday, February 11, 2012 for officer training followed by a luncheon after which a joint Session and Deacon meeting for the examination of new officers
• Approved the date of February 26, 2012 for the Ordination and Instillation of Officers

Deliberation Agenda:

• Session examined and approved membership for Jon and Angel Hughey
• Session drafted questions for elders and deacons elect with a brief “job description” to be prepared by Deacon Larry lane, Glenn Brower from Personnel and Clerk of Session Julia Luebkeman for the Elders, which will be presented to each elder and deacon elect. The questions are: 1) Tell us about your qualifications (gifts, talents, educational background, connection to the community, experience and the like) to be a ruling elder or deacon; 2) Do you feel that you are called to be an elder or deacon? If so, what are some of the indications of that call that are important for you? 3) Do you understand what is involved in serving as an elder or deacon? Do you have any questions about what is required? 4) What is the least that you can believe and still be a Christian? 5) What does being Presbyterian (or Reformed) mean to you?
• Session established a Membership Committee, Pastor Ron, Julia Luebkeman and Roger Walter, to review the membership rolls.
• 2012 Budget. Session began to discuss the 2012 budget and budgeting process.

Clerk’s Report of Activities during October:

• Girl’s Bible Study for ages 11-17, on Monday, October 10th, 17th and 24th at 6:00 to 7:00 PM lead by Terry Rockey and Claire Coons
• Women’s Bible Study, “A 3-Step Method to Study God’s Word” on Monday, October 10th, 17th and 24th at 7:00-8:00 PM lead by Terry Rockey
• October 23: Fall Weiner Roast and Hayride, each family was asked to bring a new blanket or new bath towel to be donated to the Wheeler Mission
