Palm Sunday

Southminster will begin its celebration of Holy Week on Palm Sunday, March 28, at 10:00 AM. The sermon for Passion/Palm Sunday is "Praise and Insult: Stone and Flint" and is based on Isaiah 50:4-9a and Luke 19:28-40.

Maundy Thursday

Holy Week continues at Southminster with the celebration of Maundy Thursday on April 1, at 6:30 PM. A light supper of soup and bread in the Gathering Place will be followed by worship and Communion at the tables where we shared our evening fellowship meal. After Communion, we will adjourn for the stripping of the sanctuary in preparation for Good Friday.

Good Friday

Southminster will host this year's Good Friday Service for the Franklin Township Ministerial Association on April 2. This ecumenical observance of the day of Jesus' crucifixion will begin at 7:00 PM.

Easter

The Easter Sunrise Service celebrated in fellowship with New Bethel Baptist and Franklin Central Christian Church will be held at New Bethel Baptist this year and begins at 7:30 AM on April 4, with light breakfast following.

Easter Worship at Southminster will begin at our regularly scheduled time of 10:00 AM on Sunday, April 4. The Southminster Choir will provide special music and the Word will be proclaimed in drama through the gifts of our members.
