Do you enjoy playing Bingo? Plan to come to the Silver Flashes monthly luncheon Wednesday, September 29 for a good time! There will be no charge, just a "freewill donation" to help offset the cost of the prizes. This will be held at Zion United Church of Christ, 8921 E. Troy Avenue. A freewill donation lunch will be served at 12:15 with Bingo beginning at 1:00. R.S.V.P.'s should be called in to Becky Burgess-Osher at 891-0312 by Sunday, 26.

Open gym is available each Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Zion for walking and fellowship. Coffee, tea and refreshments are available. We are seeing several new people in the community coming to walk and enjoy the fellowship! (Please, no walking during Tai Chi - Wednesdays from 11:15 - 12:15)

Euchre is played every 2nd and 3rd Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 8936 Southeastern Avenue. Newcomers are always welcome!

A freewill offering dinner is served each 3rd Wednesday of the month at Acton United Methodist Church, 5650 Senour Road, at 6:00 p.m. Reservations should be called in to the church office (862-2588) by the Sunday before the dinner.

The Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi program is offered each Wednesday at Zion at 11:15 a.m. This is a great way to get in some gentle exercise each week. Come and try it out - first visits are "Free". After the initial free visit, there is a $3 fee per session or $10 per month.

The Silver Flashes will be hosting "lunch out" at The Farmhouse Cafe & Tea Room in Bean Blossom on Tuesday, September 14. We will leave the parking lot at Zion United Church of Christ at 11:00 AM to car pool to the restaurant. Those living on the south side may meet us at the Marsh Supermarket at 135 and Stone's Crossing Road, ready to leave at 11:30 from that parking lot.
