REGULAR SESSION MEETING

The meeting was called to order by the moderator.
A quorum was declared by the clerk.
The meeting was opened with prayer by Pastor Glover.
The agenda was approved by consensus.

Tom Young, Worship and Music Committee, presented a report to Session.

Pastor Glover shared reading from John 7: 32-44 and the Book of Confessions.

The written Treasurer’s Report, provided by Ron Rockey, Business Administrator, was received by Session.

Elder John Koeller moved that the minutes of the Regular Session Meeting on February 9, 2010 are approved as written. The motion was seconded and approved.

Pastor Glover and Session engaged in an open discussion with regard to future staffing rationale for the church.

A plan for landscaping the church property was shared for future consideration.

The Membership Committee presented a list of 11 Active Members who need to be contacted with regard to their membership status. The letter to be sent out is being revised by Elder Mike Coons and Roger Walter, Clerk of Session.

The following is offered as information:

A Town Hall Meeting emphasizing the Ministry of Hospitality was held after the worship service on February 21.

A special offering was taken for One Great Hour of Sharing (PC/USA) during the worship service on February 28.

Our Youth Groups are meeting regularly under the leadership of Sean Kelly, our new Youth Director.

Commissioners Joe Woods and Mary Payne attended the Presbytery Meeting at CrossRoads Church in Westfield on Saturday, March 6. Pastor Glover also attended the meeting.

A special offering was taken during the worship service on March 7 to support the Scholarship Fund of Loving Hearts Learning Place.

Communion was celebrated during the worship service on March 7.

Communion is scheduled for April 1 (Maundy Thursday) and Sunday, April 4.

The next regularly scheduled Session Meeting is on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the church.

Elder John Koeller moved that the meeting is adjourned. The motion was seconded and approved.

The meeting was closed with the reading of Psalm 30 and prayer by Pastor Glover.
