Our Jr. and Sr. High youth groups meet at 4-5:30pm every Sunday in the "S.S.Wor-Ship". Everyone is welcome to join! Hope to see you there.

The Southminster Presbyterian youth has put together a video for the Youth Ministry Initiative video competition sponsored by the Presbyterian Foundation. You can go to the YMI website by directing your browser to www.ymilive.org.

Please vote for our video - the top two winners will be shown at the 219th General Assembly and will also receive a $25,000 endowment for their youth program. Voting started May 1st and ends on June 7th. Please tell your friend and family and have them vote for us. You must register to vote and to find our video simply search for Southminster Presbyterian Church.

Camp Olivet

It is officially spring and that means it is time to begin thinking about summer camp! This summers theme is "Jesus: The True Transformer" Throughout the week we will explore a series of biblical stories that represent transforming encounters with Jesus. We will explore how Jesus transformed the lives of those around him, how He transforms us, and how we can transform others.

If you are interested in volunteering for Camp Olivet please fill out a volunteer registration form (attached below)and give it to Janet, Sean, or Greg. You can click below to download the registration form (listed below) or you can pick one up in the gathering place at church.

Camper registration will be available in late May!

Camp dates are as follows:
Junior High - July 5-9, 2010
Senior High - July 12-17, 2010

2010 Presbyterian Youth Triennium

The tri-annual gathering of Presbyterian youth is occurring this summer July 20-24 at Purdue University. If you are going to be entering high school this fall or will be no older than 19 only July 20th you are eligible to attend this AWESOME event.

The event registration packet is below - simply download the forms, fill them out and send them to the presbytery address listed. Also, send Sean an e-mail so he knows you are planning on attending too! The deadline is April 16 to sign up. Payment will be due later.

Speaking of payment - The Presbytery and the Church will each pay a third of the cost leaving a third for you. This equals $137.
