Pastor Greg will lead a service of Evening Prayer in the sanctuary. Prayer this evening will include the concerns of the church, our world, and all who are in need. Prayer will focus on the following Southminster concerns:

Health for members who are ill.

Hunger and the work of God's Bounty food pantry during this first month of operation.

The Direction of the Spirit regarding the call of an Associate Pastor for Southminster.

2010 has been an active year for the Music and Worship Committee.
We enjoyed orchestrating the 2 major seasonal services, Easter and Christmas, with a couple additional special services included.
We have welcomed a couple of new members into our committee and look forward to their fresh ideas for the upcoming years.
A worship survey has been given to the congregation and we will be compiling the results to see how we can serve our church and the community better.

Worship at Southminster is a pleasant mixture, somewhat traditional, but with some contemporary undertones. While we love singing the old hymns, we also enjoy learning new praise choruses. Our focus in worship is on God, and as worshipers we are also encouraged, comforted, inspired, challenged, energized and strengthened by the experience.
