Submitted by Janet Ingle on Fri, 08/19/2011 - 10:39Southminster Presbyterian Church offers a children's church program designed to give children, ages kindergarten through 5th grade, basic Christian teachings in an atmosphere less formal than our regular worship service. We now celebrate the completion of one year of children's church. During the past year we have studied, the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes and the many parables and miracles of the Bible. We also studied and created the various Christian crosses and their symbolism, presenting these to our congregation during worship service.

Christian Education Committee Mission Statement
The purpose of the Christian Education ministry is make disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by providing multigenerational opportunities--through study, fellowship and service--for individuals to explore their faith, to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures, and to demonstrate the fullness of Christian love.
Children's Church
Our Children's church is open to children from Kindergarten through 5th grade and meets during the worship hour (10:00 am). Children involved in Children's church will exit the sanctuary at the appropriate time during the service (after the Children's Sermon, approximately 10:30 am) and will participate in a special, half-hour children's program including prayer, Bible story, music, game and snack. All Children are welcome.
