TOPIC: Calling an Associate Pastor

Session will host a Town Hall Meeting (with lunch) immediately following worship on Sunday, February 27, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. The discussion will include the reasons to pursue an Associate Pastor at this time, the anticipated process and potential calendar, and Q&A to answer any remaining questions from the congregation. This is an important meeting for the future of Southminster. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend.

Session meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month, 7:00-9:00 pm. If you would like to be placed on the agenda please let Pastor Greg or Julia Luebkeman know. Anyone is welcome to attend Session Meetings. Thanks. Julia L.

Session Retreat May 21-23, 2010

The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the following slate for election to Session and the Board of Deacons. For Session, we nominate Karen Mitseff-Medlin, Don Rockey and Glenn Brower (2nd Term) and for the Board of Deacons we nominate Elaine Hulsman, Janet Coons and Chris Myers (2nd Term). The Committee is appreciative of the willingness of all those who expressed a willingness to serve. We would appreciate the Congregation's prayerful consideration of these candidates. This slate will be formally presented for election at the Congregational meeting on January 10th.

Camp Pyoca

The Session retreat this year was held at Camp Pyoca, a camp and retreat facility supported by the Whitewater Valley Presbytery. We thank them for their hospitality, for use of the Cedar Cabin, and for delicious meals, including fresh cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning!
